What to expect
The Rev. Jason Ingalls

  • Altar Guild: Prepares altar linens, vessels, and supports special services. Open to all baptized persons.

  • Lectors: Read Scripture and prayers during services. Scheduled in advance.

  • Greeters & Ushers: Offer warm welcomes, assist during services, and manage logistics.

  • Servers (Acolytes, Crucifers, Thurifers, Subdeacons): Assist clergy during worship. Open to baptized youth and adults.

🎵 Worship Apprentice (Volunteer Role)

Reports to: Worship Coordinator
Time Commitment: ~4 hours/month + participation in services
Ideal For: Someone with a heart for the beauty and order of Episcopal worship who wants to learn the behind-the-scenes coordination of liturgy.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating liturgical ministers (e.g., readers, acolytes, chalice bearers).

  • Help prepare service materials (bulletins, readings, prayer lists).

  • Support special liturgies and seasonal planning (e.g., Holy Week, Advent).

  • Learn the basics of Altar Guild coordination, music collaboration, and worship planning.
