🌿 Ministry Apprenticeship at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church
“The Church carries out its mission through the ministry of all its members.” — Book of Common Prayer, p. 855

At Holy Spirit, we believe that all the baptized are called into Christ’s mission — and that leadership in ministry can be learned. Our Apprenticeship Program is one way we help raise up new leaders for the Church by pairing volunteers with experienced Coordinators to learn the work of a specific ministry area.

Each Apprentice is a volunteer leader-in-training. You’ll gain firsthand experience, deepen your gifts, and contribute to the flourishing of our church’s life. Along the way, you’ll grow in clarity about your vocation and how God may be calling you to serve the Church — here or beyond.

As part of your journey, Apprentices are expected to attend a Discovery Retreat hosted by the Episcopal Diocese of Texas — a weekend retreat designed to help you discern your unique gifts and calling within the Church.
