Dear Holy Spirit Family,
Thank you for being part of a community where we are becoming and sharing the Good News of Jesus. I wanted to give you an exciting update as we prepare for what’s next.
We’re looking at launching a second service on or around Sunday, September 14. That day was already set to be our “Kickoff Sunday,” and it falls after a stretch of travel for many of us—making it a natural time to begin something new together.
Here’s what we’re envisioning:
We’re especially excited that there’s interest in bringing back Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, which would serve as our Children’s Chapel during the 8:30 service. Children staying for the Formation Hour would continue in the Atrium through the morning.
We’ve grown quickly—about 30% over the past year in in-person attendance—and we’re now averaging around 75 people on a Sunday. As we approach our seating capacity (around 88–89), we know it’s time to make space for others.
When the time comes, we’ll be asking for commitments: 50 people at 8:30 and 50 at 11:00. That gives us the foundation to grow both services with health and joy.
Friends, over the last decade we’ve done the faithful, sometimes difficult work of building a sustainable, joyful, and transparent ministry. Now we’re beginning to see the fruit of that labor—and I couldn’t be more grateful to do this with you.
As always, feel free to email me with your questions or comments. We’re doing this together.
See you Sunday.
In Christ,
Jason+
