Dear Holy Spirit,

What does it take to pass the baton well—to leave something stronger, more beautiful, and more faithful than we found it?

As we enter the final year of our five-year plan, our theme for the 2026 ministry year is Passing the Baton: Building for Sustainable Church, Community, and Creation. Together, we’re asking: What are we handing down—not just to our next plan, but to those who come after us?

Without intentional reflection, we risk building for the moment instead of for the future. That’s why we return each year to this planning process—and it begins with listening.

After church this Sunday, please stay for a few minutes and take part in a one-on-one interview. You don’t need to prepare anything—just grab a cookie and some coffee, and share your hopes, your observations, and your ideas.

As part of the process, you’ll also complete your ministry commitments for the coming year. Together, we’ll discern what baton we’re passing—and how to pass it well.

Imagine a future where our children and grandchildren walk into a church that is vibrant, faithful, and deeply connected to the world around it. That future begins with faithful listening today.

We’ll see you Sunday.

In Christ,
Jason+
