The Rev. Jason Ingalls

When I came to Holy Spirit in 2014, I was struck by our parishioners’ love of spiritual growth, local service, and one another. My wife, Dr. Monique Ingalls, and I had recently returned from five years abroad, where I served small congregations in Toronto, Canada, and in the villages of Cottenham and Rampton, England. I recognized something familiar at Holy Spirit: a plucky, energetic people with deep gifts to tend and water.

Since then, God has taught me to shepherd more patiently, teach more clearly, and build systems that free people for ministry. I love helping children, youth, and adults practice prayer, discipleship, and shared Christian life. I believe the Church is called to tend, name, and build for God’s abundance, and I see that work every day in this parish.

Monique and I have welcomed two daughters into our home since coming to Waco. If you don’t find me at church, I’m probably trying to keep up with them, reading, writing fiction, playing board games, or getting outside.
