It’s hard raising young kids, especially when they’re under three years old! We get it. Our pastor Fr. Jason has young children, and he remembers vividly the need to get a few moments of quiet. It’s tough to settle the soul for worship when you must pay attention to a squirming young one. Once Fr. Jason had to chase one of his children down the aisle of a church he was visiting!
That’s why we provide a nursery for young children at Holy Spirit. The nursery is available for children three and under for Sunday morning formation and worship. The nursery is available for children up to ten years old for Wednesday evening worship. The nursery is open for other events like book studies and classes. All these opportunities are designed to help you find a place of peace.
All of our nursery workers have had a background check and have been certified in Safeguarding God’s Children (https://www.epicenter.org/safeguarding/home/), a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas.
Imagine coming to church, leaving your young children in the nursery, and finding a seat. You take a deep breath and smile, knowing your child is well cared for.
If you would like your child to participate in the nursery ministry, bring them to the nursery before the worship service or event. The nursery opens fifteen minutes before our events.
