Seasonal Formation — Lent, Holy Week, and Easter Sunday

Spiritual Direction

Throughout the season, make an appointment with Fr. Jason, Mthr. Bobbi, or Preston to discuss what practices you might take up or things you might give up during Lent. Spirituality is not one-size-fits-all. We’re happy to help you discern what God is asking you specifically to do or what questions to ask during this season.

Parish Breakfast

March 3. During the Sunday School times. Sign up to bring a covered dish (or a dish you covered after buying it from the store) and enjoy a break from our regular rhythms before we enter a new season of the Church Year. No Sunday School that day—just enjoy the fellowship.

Shrove Tuesday

March 5. 5-7 PM. Come for a pancake supper, stay for Bingo hosted by ECW! This is a come-and-go party with children’s activities and plenty of fun.

Ash Wednesday

March 6. 7 AM, 12 PM, or 6 PM. Join us for a solemn imposition of the ashes as we walk together into the season of Lent.

Stations of the Cross (The Way of the Cross)

Every Friday in Lent until Good Friday. 1:15 PM. We will have a full liturgy for walking the Stations of the Cross.

Anytime the Church is Open in Lent

You are welcome to come and walk the Stations at any time during Lent while the church is open. (Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM-3 PM.) Varying liturgies and meditations will be available for your use from across the Tradition.

April 17. Wednesday in Holy Week. 6:45 PM.

We will have a meditative, artistically interactive Stations practice that result in different Stations produced by our parishioners to be on display throughout the church through the end of Holy Week.

Friday Fleshless Lunches and Conversation

Every Friday in Lent until Good Friday. 12:15-1:15 PM. Join us in the Narthex for a vegetarian lunch (think “Fish on Friday” but no fish) and a conversation reflective of the Lenten season. These conversations with be diverse, engaging, and informative.
