Fr. Tom Rardin was born in Akron, Ohio and was married to Christine in 1973. They graduated from Kent State University in 1974. Father Tom attended Virginia Theological Seminary at that point and Chris begin her teaching career in special education in Alexandria Virginia. They have three grown girls who are married and living happy lives as parents here in Texas. The Rardins moved to Texas in 1990 when Fr. Tom began work as Chief, Chaplain Service at our local VA Medical Center. He continued in that post, to include the hospitals in Temple and Marlin in the mid 90’s until his retirement in 2012. He and Chris attend Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, where they both enjoy serving and being loving, supportive grandparents in retirement.
