After years of dreaming, planning, preparing, and giving, construction is finally underway at Holy Spirit! If you have been to the church recently, you’ve seen the abatement demo in the Narthex (and you’ve also seen into the offices as well!) This asbestos abatement (that happened mid-October) was in preparation for the construction of the larger, welcoming Narthex area that is in the Phase One construction. The contractors aso poured a concrete walkway around the church building, leading to the parish hall, so that parishioners and visitors will have an alternative entrance into the Nave once construction renders our current entrance unusable. Less dramatic, but not less important, has been the trench digging around the parish hall, which is addressing our drainage issues. If you have any questions about the construction or the timeline, you can ask any member of the architectural committee (Karen O’Bric, chair).
