Lenten Adult Education

Adult Sunday School is growing, with more participants and by digging deeper into our Christian faith. We have outgrown the Library space and moved out the Fellowship Hall for our sessions. The last session for our class on Faith, Hope, and Love: The Christian Virtues led by Matt Anderson, which has generated great enthusiasm, was February 26. Our Sunday School class for Lent, starting March 5, is Living Compass led by Fr. Jason Ingalls. As befits the season of Lent, Living Compass helps us identify areas for spiritual growth and encourage each other as we mature in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Join us each Sunday morning from 9:10 to 10:00 am.
Our lives are often so filled with busy-ness that we miss opportunities to find our true rest in Christ, so for Wednesday nights in Lent (March 1 to April 5), we will be taking a hiatus from our 1 Corinthians study and learn more about Sabbath. Carl Spain will lead the study, leading us in how to orient our lives to the glory of God so that we find true fulfillment in our work and rest. We will take a break from our studies during Holy Week (April 12), then pick back up our 1 Corinthians study during Eastertide, staring on April 19. (That study uses N.T. Wright Bible study guides, which you can buy at church for $7.) Join us every Wednesday night for worship in the nave (6:00p) followed by dinner (6:30p) and the study (7:00p) in the Fellowship Hall.
May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen!
